Why and how did the Keiki Fest get started?
The Keiki fest began six years ago as an effort to bring all of the schools in Waimea together to celebrate the health and safety of the children of North Hawaii. For a brief history of Keiki Fest please visit the history page.

What types booths participate in the Healthy Keiki Fest?
Businesses, health care providers, educators, scientists, police officers, retailers, farmers, ranchers, non profit organizations and many more members of the community prepare an interactive booth where kids can learn about a particular profession, discover something new, explore their health and wellness, or make something creative.

What are the requirements for a Keiki Fest booth presenter?
Booth presenters are asked to design an interactive experience for children that is educational as well as fun.  The booth should allow children to play, create something, participate in a game or activity, and discover something new. Booths are placed through out the walkways, food court and parking lot of the Parker Ranch Center as well out in the YMCA field.  Most booths require one 6 ft. table.  Additionally, booth presenters may make special requests for power, water, or other special considerations.  The Keiki Fest committee will do their best to accommodate special needs.
